hand quilting

I am very interested in hand quilting... I have been working on a few smaller projects. Completed are three small table/doll quilts from Lori Smith in repro. fabrics. I also finished my Christmas quilt table top. Now I am putting on the binding for a quilt donation for our quilt guild. Also, in the works is a baby quilt and matching doll quilt for my sister.

On Saturday I will be attending my first quilt class. It will be taught by Cindy Blackberg http://www.cindyblackberg.com/. She specializes in hand piecing and hand quilting. Her quilts are outstanding. I will post more on this class.

enjoy...

Nashville Quilts

Above is a quilt that I saw in an Antique shop in Nashville over Christmas. I love the simplicity of this quilt and the hand work. Very scrappy and homey.

Above is a quilt from the Nashville museum. I really like the way the baptist fans were hand quilted. Simple yet very detailed and interesting. This quilt was done in muted colors and of course, all hand quilted.

Great quilt.

While I was in Nashville, TN over Christmas vacation, I spotted this quilt in a closed store winder. I like the design and the boldness of it. Does anyone know the name of this quilt. This would be a joy to handquilt. Excuse all the dots on the photo, it was raining.
